Frequently, when I try to load my songs to my iPod, I end up running out of space. Programs like LameXP helped me with this problem by allowing me to compress the audio files without damaging their sound quality.
This application will give you access to a large number of output profiles and configurations that will aid you in getting the high-quality results you need. But, if you’re an inexperienced user, you might want to look for additional help on the homepage of the developer (the program doesn’t come with an offline help file).
I was impressed by the amount of advantages this program has to offer, from batch processing and support for various audio formats to dozens of encoding settings and fast conversion.
Unfortunately, LameXP still lacks some relevant utilities, like an audio player and editing tools.
If you can ignore the disadvantages that I mentioned previously and just take into consideration the sound quality of the output files and the fact that you can use the program for free, I guess you could give LameXP a try.
